ANCIENT
WISDOM FOR TODAY'S LIFESTYLES
Many cultures have
used the human energy system for promoting health of body,
mind and spirit. Qigong is a five-thousand-year-old
Chinese energy healing system. It is one of the most powerful
components of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Scientific
research has proven that medical Qigong can promote health, boost
the immune system, enhance circulation, reduce
stress, delay aging, cure disease and extend life where all
else has failed. The basic aim is to bring the body into a state of
balance and self-regulation.
People around the
world are seeking cost-effective means of keeping themselves
healthy in an increasingly urban environment where stress takes its
toll. Teaching people to help and heal themselves
through the discipline of Qigong is a gift that has been
passed down through the ages. It deserves to be recognized, researched
and included as a part of mainstream life and
the health care system. Let's join together to
educate the general population and policy makers, and to share
knowledge with one another.

THE
TIME FOR NETWORKING IS NOW
There is a
burgeoning interest in the west among the general
population in self-healing and in trying new ways to improve
health and energy. Many who have tried other therapies are
looking for help with conditions which seem incurable. People
are asking for the names of healers and teachers whom they can
trust. Masters, teachers amd practitioners of Qigong want to
be up-to-date on research. The East West Academy of Healing
Arts (EWAHA) with requests and cooperation from many
of these people has taken the initiative to inaugurate the World Qigong
Federation and the American Qigong Association in 1997 .
EWAHA has been working since 1973 to integrate
western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, to educate people
about Qigong as an effective system for maintaining health,
curing disease and improving life. EWAHA continues
to emphasize the oneness of body, mind and spirit. We welcome
all people.
